The first trailer for Aeon Flux is out over at Yahoo Movies, and I think I liked this film better when it was on television and called Dark Angel. Scratch that, I didn't like it any better then either. Charlize leaps around in that horrible onesie delivering assassin justice in a bland, non-heroic monotone while the trailer desperately tries to convince us its cool by blinking in and out. I'd suggest a return to playing coked out hookers Ms. Theron. This thing looks like a total bore.
What'd kind of a shame though is that with its release date pushback, this will now be hitting theaters before the delayed V for Vendetta (a movie which actually looks good). It's a shame, because they're really kind of on similar topics, an armed resistance against an oppressive future government. V will now have to suffer Charlize Theron comparisons. I'd rather see Hugo Weaving in a leotard any day. That's a sexy man.
