I’ve watched the first trailer for Barney’s Version twice now, and I’m still not entirely sure what it’s about. The film stars Paul Giamatti as a man who, for some reason, seems to have married two women. The movie’s taglines say he’s married them erroneously yet in the trailer Giamatti’s Barney character rather convincingly declares himself to be utterly in love.
I’m not entirely sure what’s going on, but whatever’s going it, it seems like Barney’s Version could be a lot of fun. Dustin Hoffman, Rosamund Pike, Minnie Driver, Bruce Greenwood and a lot of others co-star along with Hoffman in what appears to be some sort of character study. Who is Barney Panofsky? I don’t know, but here’s the international version of his movie’s trailer:
