Much in the same way that Peter Jackson's films are beautiful, the movies set in Middle Earth tend to get some really beautiful pieces of advertising art. The posters and banners released for the Lord of the Rings trilogy tended to be stunning and thus far the same has been true for The Hobbit. And now New Line has kept that streak going as they have released some great new banners for An Unexpected Journey.

The artwork was released on the film's official Facebook page, but you can see them all below. Click on each one to see it full size in our database.

The first of a trilogy and based on J.R.R. Tolkien's first book, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey chronicles the tale of Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) as he is enlisted by Gandalf the Grey (Sir Ian McKellan) to go help group of dwarfs travel to the Lonely Mountain and recover the treasure that was stolen generations before by the great dragon known as Smaug (Benedict Cumberbatch). Along the way they must deal with trolls, giants, goblins, worgs and every other beast of Middle Earth, but stick to their mission.

The film will also feature Cate Blanchett, Ian Holm, Christopher Lee, Hugo Weaving, Elijah Wood, Andy Serkis, Richard Armitage, Manu Bennett, Jed Brophy, Adam Brown, John Callen, Mark Hadlow, Peter Hambleton, Barry Humphries, Stephen Hunter, William Kircher, Sylvester McCoy, Bret McKenzie, Graham McTavish, James Nesbitt, Dean O'Gorman, Conan Stevens, Ken Stott, and Aidan Turner. The 3D, 48fps epic will be in theaters on December 14th, and you can see more from the movie in our Blend Film Database.
