In The Company Of Mentors

Aaron Eckhart has finally gotten the acclaim he deserves with the satirical crowd-pleaser Thank You For Smoking. He showed his raw chops years ago with Neil LaBute’s In The Company Of Men, but he was not landing any magazine covers. Now he is on fire, and there is nothing that can put out his blaze.

According to Variety, Eckhart is turning away from callous bastards and trying his hand at a do-gooder role. Next up, he will star in the comedy Bill, written by Bernie Goldman and his wife Melisa Wallack, who will also direct.

Bill is about a man sick of his job and marriage, who officially hits rock bottom after seeing his wife do the bedtime cha-cha with another man. He drowns his sorrows in an unlikely pastime: mentoring. By reluctantly watching over an unruly teen, he gets a new lease on life.

Production will begin in upstate New York in May.
