Daybreakers TV Trailer Is Out For Blood

Sick of all the New Moon buzz? You’ll want to check this out. We haven’t seen any new video from Daybreakers since the trailer hit back in June, but Lionsgate just release a one-minute TV trailer to get our blood flowing for this one all over again. Obviously it doesn’t have nearly as much material as the two-minute theatrical version, but it’s still beautiful in it’s simplicity. It’s short, sweet, effective and, even better, still uses the song “Running Up That Hill” by Placebo.

Written and directed by Michael and Peter Spierig, the men responsible for the sci-fi horror film Undead, Daybreakers takes place in the year 2019, the point at which nearly every human has succumbed to a plague transforming them into vampires. With the human population near extinction, the vampires desperately hunt down every last mortal and simultaneously try to develop a blood substitute. It stars Willem Dafoe, Isabel Lucas, Ethan Hawke and Sam Neill and is set to hit theaters on January 8th.
