Between Matthew Vaughn's Kick-Ass, James Gunn's Super and first-time director Peter Stebbings' Defendor, 2010 is quickly becoming the year of the powerless superhero. We haven't seen anything from that last film Defendor since the first trailer came out in September, but now we have a second trailer, and it continues to surprise.
Featuring a lot less Kat Dennings and a lot more Elias Koteas this time around, Defendor opens his bag of tricks to reveal marbles, lime juice, a sling-shot and a nice jar of angry hornets to wage his war on crime. Even better is the fact that despite getting laughed at for each one, they are remarkably effective. Harrelson has been on quite a nice roll recently, with Zombieland performing above expectations and The Messenger earning him a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination (we shall collectively forget 2012), so this might be one to seek out.
