David O. Russell has never been known as a director to make films at a rapid pace (there was a five year gap between Three Kings and I Heart Huckabees and a six year drought between Huckabees and The Fighter), but just two years after his last release he already has another project coming to theaters. Silver Linings Playbook is based on the book by Matthew Quick (adapted by Russell) and tells the story of a former teacher who is released from a mental institution and begins a bizarre relationship with his younger neighbor. While it won't be in theaters until November, the film will be making its premiere at the rapidly-approaching Toronto International Film Festival, and to celebrate today we have a brand new poster.

You can see the artwork below, and head over to Fandango to see it full size.

I can't really say that I love this poster, but it is pretty cool looking. In addition to the color detail - namely in Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence's eyes - the little game plan in the middle is interesting and unique. The trailer that was released this past June was enticing, so we'll see how it plays out later this year.

Silver Linings Playbook will be in theaters on November 21st and you can read more about it in our Blend Film Database.
