Valentine's Day is nearly upon us and love is in the air! Also snow, depending on where you live. For many, the romantic February holiday is an opportunity to indulge in a bit of love-focused cinema. Theatrically, this year's offerings include a few options in the romance department, among which are the latest Nicholas Sparks adaptation, Safe Haven, and supernatural-focused adaptations Beautiful Creatures and Warm Bodies. And for those who want to dip into the classics, there are no shortage of options.

Narrowing down the selection may prove to be a challenge, but MovieFone's new romantic movie mashup might help in that regard. the three-and-a-half-minute video is full of snippets from great romantic movies (An Affair To Remember, The Princess Bride), or movies with great romances (The Empire Strikes Back, The Nightmare Before Christmas).

Watching the above video, I now feel the urge to watch every John Hughes movie I own (especially Say Anything, Some Kind of Wonderful and Pretty In Pink). I'm thinking a marathon is definitely in order here, which certainly isn't a bad way to spend time while avoiding the cold weather!

There were a lot of other great films featured, among which were Juno, Sleeping Beauty, Annie Hall, Slumdog Millionaire, The Birdcage, (500) Days of Summer, Wet Hot American Summer and Love Actually. And some great lines, including Julia Robert's sweet and vulnerable profession of love in Notting Hill, "I'm just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her." And Colin Firth telling Bridget Jones that he likes her just as she is. Sometimes the best romantic lines are the simplest ones.

I wouldn't have minded a snippet of Charlie Chaplin in there looking smitten, but otherwise, the video is pretty great.

What's your favorite romantic movie? And did it make it into the video?
