Harold Adds Three Proven Actors

The upcoming high school comedy, Harold, actually looks really funny. The story follows a young man who begins prematurely balding. Naturally, he’s teased incessantly, and he turns to two separate places to find love: his mother and a local strip joint where his bald head works nicely to get past security guards refusing entry to horny young boys.

It was already announced that the elf in The Santa Clause 3 (Spencer Breslin) would be playing the lead of Harold, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, three seasoned actors have been added to the cast with him. Former Breakfast Club star Ally Sheedy will play Harold’s loveable mother, while Colin Quinn and Hairspray lead Nikki Blonsky will take rolls as a strip club regular and Harold’s quirky best friend. I’ll let you guess which one of the two is playing each role.

While the rest of the world seems to hate Colin Quinn for no damn reason, I actually find him incredibly hilarious; so, I am pumped about his casting in particular. Ally Sheedy is always a nice addition to any coming of age comedy, and while I haven’t gotten out to see Hairspray yet, I’ve heard some great things about Nikki Blonsky’s performance. All of this adds up to a must see for the laugher that just began shooting. Look for this to come out sometime next year.
