Hero Blend #48: 10 Things To Know About Suicide Squad

When it comes to movies based on DC Comics, Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has been absolutely dominating headlines for years now, but recently the buzz about David Ayer’s Suicide Squad has begun to grow. Unlike the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight, however, not everyone out there is fully familiar with the titular group of supervillains looking to reduce their sentences. For those individuals, we are here to help.

We’ve been hearing quite a bit about Suicide Squad in recent weeks, largely because it’s all-star cast – which includes Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, and Jai Courtney – lost one of its key members. Tom Hardy, who was going to play squad leader Rick Flag in the movie, has dropped out, leaving the movie to find a replacement (one who isn’t Jake Gyllenhaal). This week also saw the release of rumored plot details concerning characters like Lex Luthor and The Joker – so naturally our interest in the project has been piqued.

Joining me as my guest on this week’s episode of Hero Blend is Cinema Blend’s own comic book neophyte Mack Rawden, who has come prepared with 10 questions he wants answered about the Suicide Squad movie and the team’s legacy in the comics. Hit the play button above, and enjoy!
