For a while it seemed that Lionsgate would send out a press release for the casting of every single character in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, regardless of how much fans of the book cared about the character, or whether anybody had actually heard of the actor in question. But with Catching Fire already in production, the press releases have slowed down, and Lionsgate has finally confirmed their entire cast with a big ol' collage.
See an excerpt of the big family portrait but clicking on the selection below, which as it turns out, only features actors we knew were part of the cast. I promise there are surprises in there if you click through:
It's good to see the entire cast of faces we'll get to know in the cast, but if you've seen The Hunger Games, you know plenty of these Tributes won't be sticking around for long. And if you've only seen the hit movie and haven't read the books, you might be wondering why a bunch of these tributes are adults, when the whole idea behind the Hunger Games is that it selects kids to fight to the death. In Catching Fire, though, the format is changed up for the third Quarter Quell, in which the tributes are selected from among the previous winners of the Games… which sends our heroine Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) right back into the arena they just escaped from.
Catching Fire is set for release November 22 next year, and while we've yet to see any official images or trailers for the film that's currently in production, when they emerge, you can click here to see them all.
