Jolie Changes For Eastwood

Things are starting to solidify for the Angela Jolie movie set begin filming this month. Jolie will star in Changeling, a drama based on a true story directed by Clint Eastwood. The Hollywood Reporter said that the supporting cast members who will bask in Jolie’s reflected glory have been named.

Jolie will portray a woman whose son is abducted in Los Angeles in the 1920s. The child may have been killed by a serial killer but the LAPD returns another boy to her, claiming it is her son. The reason for this isn’t clear but will hopefully make sense in the context of the movie. When Jolie’s character points out that it isn’t her child, she is tossed into an insane asylum. There she meets Wynona Ryder and Whoopi Goldberg. Oh, wait, wrong movie.

Jeffrey Donovan and Colm Feore will play members of the LAPD hierarchy and John Malkovich will portray a reverend. Other cast members identified are Jason Butler Harner, Amy Ryan, and Michael Kelly. Malkovich is well known to everyone and Donovan is currently in Burn Notice and also played a great serial killer on Homicide: Life on the Street many years ago. Ryan was Officer Beadie Russell in The Wire, which you should pick up on DVD if you haven’t seen it. All of these people will support the UN’s sexiest goodwill ambassador when this thing comes out in late 2008.
