This summer is truly packed to the gills with epic-looking blockbusters, from The Avengers to Prometheus to The Dark Knight Rises, but we shouldn't forget about the smaller films as well. Of the smaller releases, few are more anticipated than Moonrise Kingdom. The first live-action film from Wes Anderson since 2007's The Darjeeling Limited, the upcoming film looks phenomenal and hilarious, but what's most fascinating about the movie is that it groups together actors who you wouldn't necessarily ever imagine seeing in a project together. Take, for example, Edward Norton, Tilda Swinton and Bruce Willis, who are not only all part of the wonderful ensemble cast, but also featured in the title's first clip.
Posted by AV Club (embed is from The Film Stage), the clip features Swinton's character admonishing Norton and Willis after one of the kids they're supposed to be looking after gets struck by lightning. Watching the video one can only imagine the hell that is juvenile refuge. Check it out!
Written and directed by Anderson, Moonrise Kingdom is set in the 1960s and follows the various members of a small town after two young lovers (Kara Hayward, Jared Gilman) decide to run away together. In addition to Swinton, Willis and Norton, the film also stars Bill Murray, Frances McDormand, Jason Schwartzmna, Bob Balaban, and Harvey Keitel. Look for it in theaters starting May 16th and for more head over to our Blend Film Database.
