Olivia Wilde’s career is taking off like a rocket. She’ll be huge in Tron: Legacy this Christmas and in the meantime, she’s picking up speed elsewhere. For instance she’s just been cast in a thriller opposite Justin Timberlake, whom she appeared with in Alpha Dog, back in 2006.
Their new untitled thriller is directed by Andrew Niccol, who last did Lord of War. Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried are already on board, and now Olivia Wilde will step in to play Timberlake’s mother. Out here in the real world Olivia is only 26 while Justin his pushing 30, but The Wrap says the film is set in a society where the rich have achieved immortality and stop aging at 25, while the poor struggle to survive. The plot revolves around Timberlake as a man from the ghetto falsely accused of murder and forced to go on the run with a hostage played by Seyfried.
Also on board the film are Mad Men star Vincent Kartheiser as Seyfried’s father and Cillian Murphy as the law enforcement officer hot on their trail with an assistant played by Collins Pennie.
