Rockin Into Heaven

Huge film nerds love nothing better than to bash rock music in movies. It’s a strange phenomenon, since most flaming movie nerds are also urban, white, males; which means their radio dial is probably not tuned in to a rap station or the latest Dixie Chicks song.

The latest and presumably last trailer for Kingdom of Heaven has debuted, and it’s packed to the hilt with rockin tunes. Granted, the electric guitar wasn’t a big seller in ancient Jerusalem; but if Heath Ledger has taught us anything, it’s that guitar solos and knights errant do indeed mix.

It’s a gorgeous trailer, filled with imagery and very little dialogue, with a rock score that swells as the images do. It’s the first trailer that’s actually done much to get me excited about the film, though I think it’s the lack of dialogue that makes it so attention grabbing, not necessarily the music. Still, the music works for me and if you’re not an anal retentive poser you just might like it to. Enjoy.

While you’re at it, you might also want to check out some of the tons of clips Yahoo Movies has posted from the film. I’ve listed as many as I can below in Win Media format (I refuse to acknowledge Real Media). Thanks to CB's Orlando lover Irene for sending them in:
