I remember exactly how it happened. It was the summer of 2008 and I was studying abroad in England. Standing outside of a theater with a friend, we decided that we both really wanted to see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which was not only a continuation of one of my favorite franchises, but had been getting fairly high marks from critics. We bought our tickets, went into the theater and proceeded to watch 122 minutes of pure misery. I couldn't have been more horrified by what George Lucas and Steven Spielberg had done to one of the greatest heroes ever to grace the silver screen. There was nothing I wanted more than to just block it out and live in a world where there was only three Indiana Jones movies. Sadly some people just won't let that happen.

This past weekend MTV spoke with Shia LaBeouf, who played Indy's son, Mutt, in Crystal Skull who said that Indiana Jones 5 is "not so far off." The actor said that he recently spoke to star Harrison Ford, who has apparently been hitting the gym and knows that George Lucas is "out there looking for a MacGuffin." As for his willingness to wait, LaBeouf has all the patience in the world, saying about Lucas, "He's got to let it sit. He's going through his ruminations, which is extensive."

Here's a better thought: take all of the work George Lucas has put into another Indiana Jones movie and throw it all into a fire. Notebooks: in the fire. Flash drives: in the fire. Desktop computers: in the fire. For the love of God, just stop.
