There’s a new trailer for Hairspray online, and this time it’s not just an unbearably long list of names. Instead it’s an unbearably long list of names with video footage spliced in between the credits and a Queen Latifah powered music bed underneath. Maybe they should just forget the whole Hairspray thing and call this Dancing with the Stars: The Movie. That seems to be what they’re going for here. I’m sure it’ll make millions.
What’s good is that it has Christopher Walken, and I plan on seeing it just to watch him bust a move. What’s bad is that John Travolta is in a fat suit. All the advances in film technology, and Hollywood still hasn’t progressed beyond your basic fat suit. It’s kind of pathetic.
