When the new cover of Entertainment Weekly was revealed earlier today featuring Henry Cavill as Superman from Zack Snyder's Man of Steel, we knew it was only a matter of time before more images from the movie would find their way online from the inside of the magazine. Well, it's happened and here they are for your viewing pleasure.
Seven images in total have been uploaded by SlashFilm showing off multiple new looks at the new superhero movie, and all around they are pretty damn fantastic. You can head over to their site to see all of the images, but you can check out a few of our favorites below.
Here we have what's really our first good look at Michael Shannon as the film's main villain, General Zod. Before now we've only gotten a brief glimpse at the character, but now he's been revealed in full costume and it's pretty damn badass:
Next we have Kevin Costner and Diane Lane as Jonathan and Martha Kent, Kal-El's Earth parents. In the movie they do their very best to try and hide their son's gifts from the world, teaching him to hide his powers even in the most extreme circumstances.
And lastly we have another villainous Kryptonian, this one being Antje Traue's Faora. It's hard to say exactly what she's doing to Lois Lane (played by Amy Adams) in this picture, but that helmet she's wearing looks pretty cool, no?
High-res versions of these images will hopefully show up online sooner rather than later, and with any luck we'll also be getting a new trailer soon that will show off all of these characters in action. For now we play the waiting game and highly anticipate Man of Steel's release on June 14th.
