It's a thrilling day for fans of stop-motion! First ParaNorman's makers gave us a look at how their characters are constructed, and now Disney is taking fans behind the scenes of their upcoming animated adventure Frankenweenie with a clip unlike any we've seen before.

Producer Allison Abbate serves as guide on a 360° tour of the sets of Frankenweenie, and as she introduces you to the town of New Holland as its residents celebrate their annual Dutch Day celebration. But what's extraordinary is the clips ability to let you look about as she talks. Observe the panel below the main image. By clicking within it, you choose the camera perspective of the main window. Then, within the main window, you'll notice small green circles. Clicking on these circles put the presentation on pause then activates additional information, from the film's synopsis to concept art, details on the voice cast, and even some downloadable art. And for those of you sneaking this vid at work—or for those who are hearing impaired—Disney provides subtitles of the whole spiel. Check out the behind-the-scenes tour HERE

Inspired by Tim Burton's 1984 live-action short, Frankenweenie focuses on a young boy with an undying devotion to his recently deceased dog that inspires him to play mad scientist, bringing Sparky back to life. The look of this animated adventure has a distinctly Burton, and bring his creepy cartoon characters to life is a voice cast that includes some of his past collaborators, like Catherine O'Hara, Winona Ryder (both of Beetlejuice), Martin Landau (Ed Wood), Martin Short (Mars Attacks!) and Christopher Lee (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Dark Shadows).

Frankenweenie opens October 5th, until then find out more at our Blend Film Database.
