Subscribe To Tom Cruise Looks Ready For A Fight In First Official Look At Jack Reacher Updates
Back in April, while in Las Vegas attending the annual event known as CinemaCon, I had the pleasure of seeing the first ever footage from the upcoming Jack Reacher, Christopher McQuarrie's adaptation of Lee Child's One Shot starring Tom Cruise. Watching three scenes in total, I was impressed by what I saw, both in the action (I got to see both a really cool fight scene as well as a car chase) and the dialogue (I won't soon forget hearing a guy tell a woman to "Shut [her] cock holster"). There's still quite a bit of time left until the movie is released, as it won't be arriving in theaters until late December, but today brings a treat: the film's first official still.

Premiering over at EW, the image isn't exactly exciting - it's just Cruise standing next to his car in the middle of the street - but, hey, it's something right? You can see the image below and head over to the source to see it full size.

Both written and directed by McQuarrie, Jack Reacher follows the titular character (Cruise) as investigates a string of five murders that were carried out by a military-trained sniper. The film has a terrific supporting cast that includes Robert Duvall, Rosamund Pike, Jai Courtney, Richard Jenkins, David Oyelowo, Michael Raymond-James and Werner Herzog (yes, that Werner Herzog). The film is currently in post-production and will be released on December 21st.
