Does Tony Scott have stock invested in Amtrak or something? First he did a remake of The Taking of Pelham 1,2,3,, about a subway hijacker, and now he's fast-tracking his next project Unstoppable, about a runaway train full of toxic chemicals. Yes, both of these movies make train travel look exceedingly dangerous, but also totally, totally fun.
Scott is fast-tracking the project, working with screenwriter Mark Bomback to try and get ready to shoot later this year. Variety notes that Scott will also co-produce alongside Julie Yorn. We'll see if he can draw star caliber for this one like he did for Pelham. Think Denzel Washington and John Travolta will be up for a re-team?
