What Did You Think Of The Hunger Games?

Every Suzanne Collins fan is getting their wish tonight. Though it feels like it took forever to get here, tonight marked the first public screenings of The Hunger Games. Though some loved it more than others, the critical community has been kind to the Gary Ross written/directed film, our own Sean O’Connell calling it a, “masterful translation.” But we want to know what you think.
Based on the first book in the acclaimed series, The Hunger Games is about a young girl named Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) who lives in a future dystopia called Panem. In the society each year the government forces two children from each of the country's 12 districts to face off in a battle called The Hunger Games. When Katniss volunteers as a tribute for her district, she doesn't realize it but she takes the first step towards becoming a revolutionary hero.
Below you will find both a poll and a comments section where you can all talk about how you felt about the movie without the need of spoiler warnings. Was it everything you hoped for or massively disappointing? Did you love it, or do you never want to hear about it ever again? Let us know! If you don't have any idea what we're talking about - which I actually doubt is humanly possible at this point - head over to our Blend Film Database to find out more about the film.
