Earlier this month word got out that location scouting had begun for Star Trek 2 from writer-producer Roberto Orci (via Slash Film), so now it should come as no surprise that in the coming weeks, the cast will assemble to begin the necessary prep work – or at least Spock, Zachary Quinto, will.
While out promoting his upcoming financial crisis drama Margin Call, Quinto had a little something to offer in terms of his next step in working on the sequel. He says the film is on the “imminent horizon” and just happens to be heading back to LA to get to work on it after he wraps this stint in New York City.
Lucky for Quinto, my attempt at probing for details was thwarted not by his necessity to keep plot information under wraps, but simply because he’s yet to read the script. However, with prep work kicking off within the coming days and shooting beginning at the start of the year, I’d like to bet that’ll change quite soon, so it might get a little tougher for Quinto to keep his guard up.
Check this all out for yourself in the clip below and be sure to keep an eye out for our full interview with the Margin Call producer and star in the coming days.
