The story revolves around an ex-cop who is haunted by the memory of his deceased family while he searches high and low for a missing girl while a "sinister presence" looms over his life. Although Cullen Bunn did some excellent work on the source material, the THR report seems to indicate that 20th Century Fox intends to make some major alterations to the narrative in the course of adapting it to the silver screen, which guarantees that plenty of secrets will remain intact.
