In the last couple of months, we've watched as critics groups and film organizations around the world have all submitted their big choices for their favorite pieces of work from the cinematic year that was 2016. Of course, those all pale in comparison to what we have going on today. The Academy Awards are unquestionably considered the highest honor in the industry, and this morning we have learned who is up for the latest round of prizes.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has officially announced their list of Oscar nominees for their 2017 show, and as always it's a nice mix of surprises, snubs and earned recognition.
