ReelBlend #90 - Our Interview With Terminator: Dark Fate Director Tim Miller

Powered by RedCircle

Ninety. Such a nice round number. That’s how many episodes Jake, Kevin and Sean have done of ReelBlend. And the show has grown pretty quickly in that time, to the point where we get really special guests on the show, almost on a weekly basis! Recent ReelBlend guests include Joaquin Phoenix talking Joker, Edward Norton discussing Motherless Brooklyn, iconic cinematographer Roger Deakins, and the talkative Kevin Smith.

This week? We have Terminator: Dark Fate director Tim Miller for a candid, entertaining conversation about the Terminator franchise, James Cameron’s influences, and what he might like to do after Dark Fate. Give it a listen! You guys will really dig this one.

After the Tim Miller interview, getting you primed and ready for Terminator: Dark Fate, the guys start to discuss the future of Star Wars – which just fired yet another creative team.

Former Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have been taken off a planned trilogy of Star Wars movies, which we have since learned would have explored the roots of the Jedi. With that news, there are precious few projects (on the film side) on the Lucasfilm radar, and the guys debate whether or not that’s a good thing.

They also react to this latest trailer for The Mandalorian. How do you guys feel about this pending streaming series?

The Blend game this week focuses on Arnold Schwarzenegger, allowing Kevin to tell the amazing story of interviewing the action icon with Linda Hamilton. If you know Kevin, you know that T2 is his favorite movie of all time. So yeah, this one is a big deal.
