Unicorn Frappucinos Are Now Available At Starbucks, Check Them Out

Is your social media newsfeed rife with pictures of foods and drinks with unicorn themes and recipes for them? Ours is, and we love it, and apparently so does Starbucks. The unicorn craze has become so successful that the multibillion-dollar coffee corporation decided to jump on the trend with a new drink, the Unicorn Frappuccino blended beverage. Take a look at the zany sweet-treat drink and continue reading below for details:

Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino 2017

In a statement, Starbucks explained some of what goes into the enchanting production of a Unicorn Frappucino. The icy treat has pink powder combined into a crème drink with mango syrup and a layer of sour blue drizzle. Before handing off the fun Frappucino, the barista tops it with vanilla whipped cream and then sprinkles on a sweet pink and sour blue topping. The sugary drink sounds like an incredibly tangy delight that tastes like Sweet Tarts candies.

The company provided some tips on how to drink the sparkly beverage. The company explained that the drink offers a touch of magic because it starts off with a purple color that has blue swirls in it, but as customers stir the Unicorn Frappuccino, it brightens into a pink color. Plus, the mixing blends the sweet and fruity flavors and makes them taste tart and tangy. So, if you try out the vibrant drink, don't forget to stir with the straw.

The colorful drink will only be on sale for a limited time from April 19 to 23. People who live outside of Canada, Mexico, or the United States have to hold their horses--unicorns--for now because it looks like Starbucks only has plans to try out the drink there at the moment. Of course, it is not the first time Starbucks has sold a tasty treat for a short period. In October of last year, Starbucks unveiled its Frappula Frappucino just in time for Halloween. Then it added a Frappuccino inspired by Pokémon Go in December. And, of course, who can forget the ever-popular seasonal drinks like the Pumpkin Spice Latte?

Also, in case you wondered, when Starbucks talks about using crème, the company is referring to a fancy dairy base that resembles cream. In fact, you could, perhaps, think of crème as a deluxe version of cream, a sensible ingredient in a drink fit for a unicorn. Or is this drink supposed to taste like a unicorn? At any rate, we assume the barista has to take painstaking care not to use the wrong ingredients to avoid creating a beverage of some other legendary creature, like a chimera or dragon.

All joking aside, if you want to try out the Unicorn Frappucino, you should head to a participating Starbucks soon. This drink looks amazing, and it will not be around long. The Unicorn Frappucino might not bode well for our diet, and it might change the color of our tongue, but it sounds too fun to pass up.
