After months and months of updates and waiting, the big day is finally here. The Royal Wedding is in full swing across the pond, bonding together Prince Harry and American actress Meghan Markle in matrimony. While Royal Weddings are always global events, this one comes on the heels of the 2011 ceremony between Prince William and Kate Middleton. And with a noted TV actress joining the Royal Family, there is particular scrutiny placed on the event. The wedding had some serious A-listers in attendance, among the thousands of official invites that went out. Everyone is dressed to impress, so let's walk through some of the looks from Royal Wedding 2018. And where better to start than with the bride and groom themselves?
It seems like just about everyone is covering the big day, and E! news is no exception. Here we can see Meghan Markle and Prince Harry on the alter, as their lives changes forever. Markle is wearing an extremely understated gown by Givenchy. It's neither form fitting nor flashy, drawing all of the attention on Meghan's stunning face. Attached is a traditional long train, but nothing like the famous long train of Princess Diana's gown.
Obviously one of the other biggest figures in the room is none other than Queen Elizabeth herself. The famous matriarch is shown wearing a pastel green/yellow mixture, complete with purple accents and jewels. Meanwhile Prince Phillip, who escorted his wife to the Royal Wedding, wore a tradition tuxedo.
Meghan Markle's new sister-in-law Kate Middleton was also in attendance, and wearing an Alexander McQueen dress jacket that she reportedly debuted at Princess Charlotte's christening a few years back. Many people will no doubt be preparing Kate and Meghan's wedding gowns, which are picturesque in different ways.
Not to be outdone, there were plenty of UK stars in attendance well. Victoria and David Beckham definitely wowed the public with their respective outfits. While there were early rumors that the Spice Girls might be performing at the Wedding, it now appears that the entire group isn't necessarily in attendance. Check out Posh Spice doing what she does best: looking posh AF.
There was also another power couple in the form of George and Amal Clooney. The duo have been stealing hearts since their relationship was announced, so it's especially heartwarming to see them enjoying a wedding and being utterly adorable in the process.
Serena Williams and her husband were in attendance as well, so David Beckham isn't the only professional athlete in the house. Williams is currently the subject of an HBO documentary, and she and husband Alexis Ohanian looked dapper in their wedding gear.
Overall, the Royal Wedding looks like a classy and pristine event that will go down in the history books. Stick with CinemaBlend for updates on the big day.
