Burt Reynolds Is Improving After Bout With Flu

Burt Reynolds was taken to a hospital earlier this week in Florida in the midst of a battle with the flu. Upon arrival, doctors transferred him to the intensive care unit in order to get more hands on treatment, but in the coming days, he’s expected to be transferred back to a normal hospital room and after that, back to his home.

According to CNN, the big problem for Reynolds was a lack of fluids. His bout with the flu really zapped his body of water, and by the time he got to the hospital, he needed to go to the intensive care unit in order to rehydrated. Luckily, he seems to be improving by the hour. Here’s what his spokesman had to say…

"He is doing better at this time. We expect, as soon as he gets more fluids, he will be back in a regular room."

Specifics related to what hospital he’s in or how long he’s had the flu haven’t been made public, but that’s not really a huge surprising considering the seventy-six-year-old has largely stayed away from the headlines he regularly generated as one of the most popular actors and bachelors in the entire world.

Pop Blend’s sincerest thoughts go out to Reynolds during his recovery. He’s always been a fighter and a stubborn bastard. Here’s to hoping he kicks the flu and goes back to relaxing after a long career of making all of us smile.
