Prior to the Oscar Red Carpet, Jennifer Lawrence promised Emma Stone she would look into E!’s Mani Cam and shout at her. No doubt the idea the two conjured up seemed hysterical in their heads and probably would have been, except, when she looked into the camera and belted out, “Your ass is mine, Stone”, nothing happened. Because the damn thing wasn’t plugged in.

Ryan Seacrest noticed the problem immediately and turned it into a joke, saying the telecast needed to plug it in, but you know he raised holy hell as soon as it was over. Unfortunately, that didn't turn out to be the last awkward moment featuring the Mani Cam. Not long after, Seacrest interviewed Catherine Zeta-Jones, and as the chat was ending, she volunteered to do the special camera. Her offer was not received as she expected. Check out the footage below...

I would like to think Seacrest didn't hear her. I would like to think he simply shifted his focus and failed to notice her desire for the Mani Cam, but there are a ton of people out there who think he wasn't confident the Mani Cam would work and simply blew her off rather than address it on camera. If so, he tried to choose the lesser of two evils, but in retrospect, he probably should have just rolled over on the damn Mani Cam not functioning properly.

What do you think? Was this a flat-out diss, or is this situation just being blown out of proportion? Let us know your thoughts by voting in the poll below...
