Although the end of summer means back to school and from vacation, there are a few perks in the change of seasons. And every avid TV viewer will know that the fall brings us the long awaited returns to our small screen adventures, as shows have their season premieres. Chief among them is AMC's apocalyptic drama The Walking Dead, which will be returning in October for more violence, survival, and character deaths. Marketing for Season 7 has been tricky, as last season's cliffhanger made it unclear as to which main character died at the hands of Jeffrey Dean Morgan's Negan. So TWD fans are eager for any bit of zombie goodness to get through till the premiere. Luckily for us, Norman Reedus seems to feel our need.
That's right, Norman Reedus lives his life completely comfortable with a decapitated head in his dressing room. He basically is Daryl Dixon.
That particular zombie head appears to be from last season's 12th episode "Not Tomorrow Yet". When planning their attack on the Saviors' compound, Rick and company tried to find a freshly dead walker that looked like the Hilltop's leader Gregory. After finding a few bearded zombies, they decide on one resembling what you can now see comfortably sitting in Norman Reedus' trailer. The final touches to the trick were breaking the head's nose, which Rick Grimes was all too happy to do for the cause.
It's pretty fun to see into Norman Reedus' trailer for a moment. Obviously he has a stage mirror with appropriate lighting, presumably to assist the makeup artists who are working on the actor's face every day. Not to be made uncomfortable, Reedus was sure to decorate and make it his space by adding a nice TV and what appears to be a male sex doll with the Pink Panther's head attached. That's basically what my office looks like too, Norman. I swear.
Overall, the above image helps to keep fans excited about the upcoming 7th season of The Walking Dead. Since Season 6's finale aired in April, we've been wondering and theorizing as to which character died at the hands of Negan in the finale. Personally, I think Glenn or Abraham are the most likely, but we'll still have to wait close to two months in order to find out.
The Walking Dead returns to AMC on October 23rd.
