sleepy hollow

With the fall season well underway for almost all the major shows on TV, we can now look ahead to the future, when the new year begins and the midseason schedule rises over the horizon. Fox has unveiled the entirety of its schedule, and there are quite a few highly anticipated premieres on the way, including Sleepy Hollow, 24: Legacy and the final season of Bones. And we can expect to see some changes coming to the shows currently airing, such as Rosewood.

When the new year begins, Fox will completely change up its Thursday night line-up to be solely unscripted programming, without a high-stakes plot narrative to be seen. In fiction's place, we'll get to see Hell's Kitchen and other cooking competition shows, while the popular Rosewood will be moving away from Thursdays to get a Friday night premiere on January 6 at 8:00 p.m. New Girl fans will see a difference happening as well, as it will shift up to 8:00 p.m. ET, as a hopefully strong lead-in for The Mick. Check out the full schedule below and read on for premiere info.

First up for the returning shows will be the twelfth and final season of Bones, which will kick off on the previously announced date of Tuesday, January 3, at 9:01 p.m. ET, so if your New Year's resolution is to not get creeped out by serial killers, it's a bad week to start. Next up is Sleepy Hollow's revamped fourth season, complete with location change, which is coming on Friday, January 6, at 9:00 p.m. ET. (It's got a strong new lead-in, too.) And then on Thursday, February 9, the fifth season of MasterChef Junior will serve its appetizer course at 8:00 p.m. ET, presumably the week after Hell's Kitchen concludes.

24 legacy

Now for the new shows. Lee Daniels' next Fox series, Star, will bow on Wednesday, December 14, at 9:00 p.m. ET, so we don't even have to wait too much longer for that, although it's official time period premiere doesn't start until Wednesday, January 4. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Kaitlin Olsen heads to Fox proper for the comedy The Mick, which will start up on Tuesday, January 3, at 8:31 p.m. ET. The cooking competition series My Kitchen Rules debuts on Thursday, January 12, at 9:01 p.m. ET. The Jack Bauer-free 24: Legacy will add some tension to our lives after the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 5, with a planned start time at 10:00 p.m. ET. Justin Kirk's tech-savvy crime drama APB premieres on Monday, February 6, at 9:01 p.m., just after the 24: Legacy premiere's second night.

I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to all of Fox's new shows, which isn't always the case. To see when everything else is coming back to TV everywhere else on the dial, or whatever it is called now, check out our midseason premiere schedule.
