Game Of Thrones’ Soundtrack Hints At A Major Finale Moment

Cersei Lannister in the finale of Game of Thrones

It's hard to believe, but the finale of Game of Thrones Season 7 is just one day away. The latest season of HBO's massively popular fantasy drama has flown by, after premiering later than its predecessors. And while the penultimate episode contained another epic action sequence and a personal loss for Dany, the upcoming finale will assemble the largest group of major characters since the pilot. Cersei will be coming face to face with her brother and Jon Snow, as the latter two attempt to make a compromise with the Lannister Queen and join forces against the army of the dead. It's not going to be an easy task, and one song from the soundtrack hints that Cersei is going to blow her gasket.

The song in question is titled "No One Walks Away from Me", which is no doubt a line that Cersei says during the meeting in King's Landing's Dragonpit. Presumably negotiations will not go well, with Jon and company attempting to walk away from the conflict. This will probably royally piss of Miss Cersei, resulting in the tense song from the soundtrack. Take a listen.

Did anyone else just get chills?

The most epic moment of the above track is how it calls back to last season's finale. The piece brings back the main theme from "The Light of the Seven" which is the epic song played before, during, and after Cersei and Loras Tyrell's trials in the Sept of Baelor. And that ended with Cersei destroying the entire sept up with Wildfire, including Margaery Tyrell and a ton of supporting characters.

It should be interesting to see what sort of tricks and villainy are up Cerei's sleeves in tomorrow's finale. While it will be interesting to see Jon and Cersei interacting for the first time, she's not going to take the presence of Tyrion lightly. Furthermore, we'll have to see if the wright that Jon captured makes its way back to King's Landing, and how the Lannister matriarch responds to that bombshell. Dany has been noticeably missing from the trailer and stills for the episode, so perhaps she'll fly in and stop whatever nonsense Cersei attempts. We'll just have to wait and see, but it seems like somebody has to bite the dust during the big finale.

Game of Thrones' Season 7 finale will air August 27th on HBO. In the meantime, check out our fall premiere list to plan your next binge watch.
