Katee Sackhoff Looks Amazing As The Flash's New Villain

One of the most exciting casting announcements for The Flash came when it was revealed Battlestar Galactica bet Katee Sackhoff was joining the superhero drama as the villainous Amunet Black. We now have our first look at the new baddie, who goes by the moniker Blacksmith, and Sackhoff looks absolutely fantastic.

There's something about Katee Sackhoff's Amunet Black that looks like she came from the future and/or a Billy Idol music video. which might not fit so well with all fans. But I love it. Her outfit certainly doesn't look any more ridiculous than a lot of other characters in the Arrow-verse, and after her years in the fictional future on Battleship Galactica, she can pull off whatever kind of sci-fi costuming that comes her way. Granted, this strappy look doesn't quite match up with Longmire's Vic, but still.

While we haven't learned too much about what we can expect to see from Katee Sackhoff's Amunet Black, we do know that she's the crime boss employing that brooding Norvok dude, and that Caitlin/Killer Frost was also working for her. In the comics, the character is the head of a criminal-focused black market where the villains of Central City (and other places) can buy and sell all manner of weapons and other noteworthy objects. It's not quite clear how that story will get played out on The Flash, but it seems like we'll get to see quite a few of the show's other villains crossing paths with Black and her goons. Plus, she will also offer some trouble for Caitlin by way of threatening to reveal her Frost secret.

Speaking of goons, though, here's another shot of Katee Sackhoff's Amunet Black alongside Norvok, who very likely has something to do with The Thinker and Barry's Speed Force experience.

Katee Sackhoff will first appear on The Flash's November 7 episode, titled "Girls Night Out," which will center on the Bachelor and Bachelorette parties that Team Flash's elite will go on to celebrate the impeding WestAllen nuptials. The episode will feature a guest appearance from Arrow's Emily Bett Rickards, whose Felicity will hit the town with Iris and Caitlin.

It looks like "Girls Night Out" will also feature a guest appearance from a jail cell, with what appears to be a drunk Barry landing in the clink with Joe and Cisco (not pictured below).

While we'll have to wait another week to see Katee Sackhoff show up on The Flash for "Girls Night Out," we get to meet Danny Trejo's Breacher in the next one, so it's a decent tradeoff. Watch The Flash every Tuesday night on The CW at 8:00 p.m. ET. Check out everything else heading to the small screen soon with our fall TV premiere schedule.
