Finally, after rumors, casting updates and twisted teasers, we're starting to see what the new season of American Horror Story is all about. With the series set to tell a whole new story in its second season, there are new characters to get to know and a new setting to explore. We saw a new trailer last week, which gave us a look at Jessica Lange's character and some of the scary happenings at the titled Asylum. The latest trailer introduces us to Adam Levine and Jenna Dewan's characters.

We know that American Horror Story: Asylum will take place in an institution and feature all new characters (some played by cast members from the first season). But what's the bigger picture here? In Season 1, the focus of the show was on a family moving into a haunted house. Based on the trailer below, it seems two newlyweds come upon the asylum as part of some bizarre haunted-honeymoon tour.

So, it seems Levine's Leo and Dewan's Teresa are enjoying a romantic vacation touring old, creepy (haunted) buildings. Let's put aside the weird factor there. Some people prefer tropical locations for their honeymoon. Others go to Disney World. And maybe some are turned on by haunted places. Judging by the way Leo and Teresa go at it while in that building, I'd say they're firmly among the latter group. The legend of this asylum, based on what the bride reads, is that once people checked in to this particular institution, they never checked out. Something tells me they're still there!

We also get to see Sarah Paulson's character, a journalist (who appears to be part of the "past" part of the story) who's looking into the asylum in search of the real darkness lurking behind the squeaky-clean walls.

American Horror Story: Asylum premieres Wednesday, October 17 at 10:00 p.m. on FX. Watch the previously released trailer here.
