As you may have heard, James Marsters is set to join the cast of Syfy’s new series Caprica starting in March. We have a photo of Marsters, who’s known by Buffy and Angel fans for playing the role of Spike in both series.

Marsters also appeared in Torchwood and Smallville, so between those shows and his place in the Whedonverse, the man’s no stranger to the small screen. In Caprica he’ll be playing Barnabus Greely. His character is described as “an enigmatic and dangerous leader.” Below is the full image that was released of Marsters in his new role.

He looks cranky.

Marsters' first appearance in Caprica will take place on March 5th.

Meanwhile, for those of you who already caught the pilot, either on DVD or when it premiered last week, we have a teaser for the first season, which should give you an idea of what’s to come.

Caprica airs Friday nights at 9/8c on Syfy.
