August is nearly here and at this point, Comic Con is pretty firmly in the rearview, but we're still seeing some coverage of the event make its way online. Today, that comes in the form of two videos, one of which showcases Showtime's presence at the San Diego-set convention, while the other gives us a look at Game of Thrones' panel and booth signings, in addition to some of the cast and George R.R. Martin's comments on their experience at the convention.
Here's the video HBO put online today, which focuses on Game of Thrones at SDCC. This includes a few snippets of the fan-packed panel in Hall H.
It's funny to hear Richard Madden talk about preferring to do the violent scenes as opposed to the sexy ones. I suppose it probably is more fun getting to wield a sword than to stand around on the cold set with no clothes on. And Emilia Clarke's story about being spotted on an elevator was also funny. You can read our live-blog of the panel here to see what else was discussed.
Meanwhile, Showtime's video focuses on Dexter, Shameless and Homeland, all three of which were featured in panels at SDCC (though Homeland technically shared time with Dexter in Ballroom 20). The video also shows off some of Showtime's fans who lined up to take pictures and get autographs.
You can read our live blog of the Dexter (and Homeland) panel here.
