The countdown to the June 28 premiere of Charlie Sheen’s new show Anger Management is on, and he’s busy making the rounds and playing nice for the interviews. Today Sheen showed up on Today where a couple of stills from the new show were shown, and he talked about his “cringeable” past behavior. Has he really turned over a new leaf, or is this just PR?

No clips from the show have been released yet, but the two images shared on Today show Sheen with Selma Blair, who plays his therapist on the series, and another with Shawnee Smith, who plays Sheen’s ex-wife. The series is about an anger management therapist who needs some help himself, and is loosely based on the movie of the same name starring Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler. Here's a blurry quick look at Charlie Sheen with Selma Blair, andDeadline has an additional image. You'll get a better look in the Today video (further down).

Sheen answered questions about the show and about his behavior last year that led up to his firing from Two and a Half Men and subsequent trash-talking of the show and it’s new star Ashton Kutcher. He says he thought about creating a documentary using footage from his Torpedo of Truth tour, but when he looked at the footage he realized it was “cringeable” and referred to it as a “nice case study”. No doubt many psychologists would agree. Sheen also declares working on Anger Management to be “more fun” that Two and a Half Men ever was. Good for you, Charlie, let’s just hope viewers think it’s fun, too.
