If I had to choose a break-out star from ABC Family's Greek, Clark Duke would be at - or at the very least near - the top of the list. Since taking on the role of the somewhat stuffy, occasionally closed-minded but usually well-meaning Dale in the college-focused series, Duke has landed a number of feature roles, including the part of Marty in Kick-Ass and Jacob in Hot Tub Time Machine. More recently, he also appeared in the Valentine's Day episode of New Girl. And now it looks like he's Office bound.

TV Line is reporting that Duke is in talks to join NBC's The Office for Season 9 as a series regular. The site references the anticipated mini-reboot for The Office, with B.J. Novak stepping down as a regular, and Mindy Kaling on the way out, along with showrunner Paul Lieberstein. That may leave some room for a few newbies to enter Dunder Mifflin.

Other than that he would be an employee at Dunder Mifflin, no details on his character were mentioned, but given his roles in Greek and New Girl, I'm imagining him playing someone really annoying. Perhaps like Dwight only his own version of that kind of guy. Duke actually played a likable character in Hot Tub Time Machine, but I think he may be at his funniest when he's passing judgment and getting under people's skin. Regardless of who he's playing, if the deal goes through, this would be some great casting for the series and good news for Duke, who's definitely overdue for some substantial network television exposure.
