MTV Delivers Social Messages
MTV is about to change their style. No, they aren’t going back to showing music related programming. Instead, they’re planning to air original message movies.
WENN says that the Music Television Network is going to start making documentaries on social issues. With their 25th anniversary looming, the cable channel is working on a series of films investigating such issues as AIDS, sex, drugs, and crime. At MTV spokesperson explained the movie with this statement: “The MTV audience has never known a day without HIV. Young people are critical to ending the pandemic.”
MTV is no stranger to telling America’s youth what to think. They’ve long dabbled in politics, with such programs as their failed “Get Out the Vote” campaign. They didn’t, and now Bush is our president. Great job guys.
