Subscribe To The Office Finale And 'A.A.R.M': What's Ahead At Dunder Mifflin In The Last Two Episodes Updates
NBC is going to make a night out of The Office finale next week. Not only will they fill the nine o'clock hour with the one-hour finale, but prior to that, an Office retrospective will air. While there's no official description posted for the special just yet, it's probably safe to assume by the title that the hour-long special, which will air at eight (Thursday, May 16), will give us a look back at some of the highlights from nine seasons worth of work-place humor and personal drama at Dunder Mifflin ahead of the series' closer.

As for the finale, despite doubts that he'd be willing and able to make an appearance, Steve Carell will reportedly be in attendance at some point for the finale, though he's not mentioned among the guest stars of NBC's official description for the episode. Check that out below.

THE OFFICE SAYS GOODBYE IN ITS ONE HOUR SERIES FINALE—GUEST STARRING MINDY KALING, BJ NOVAK, RACHAEL HARRIS, DAKOTA JOHNSON, JOAN CUSACK, ED BEGLEY JR., MALCOLM BARRETT, MATT JONES, ANDY BUCKLEY, MIKE SCHUR, BOBBY RAY SHAFER—Months after the airing of the documentary, the workers of Dunder Mifflin, past and present, gather for a wedding and a final round of interviews. Mysteries are solved, hatchets are buried, pranks are prunked.

Who's getting married? The description for this week's episode (below) gives us a clue about that, but I'm still holding out hope that things will take a turn for Dwight and Angela, especially now that we know for sure that she's still in love with Dwight. Check out some pictures from the final episode here.

In the meantime, we have the penultimate episode to look forward to this Thursday night. This week's episode, titled "A.A.R.M.," which presumably stands for "Assistant to the Assistant Regional Manager," will feature guest appearances by Aaron Rogers, Clay Aiken, Mark McGrath, Santigold and Jessica St. Clair. Here's the description for the episode, which airs May 9 at 9:00 p.m. Et on NBC:
A.A.R.M. (TV-PG)
JIM HOLDS TRYOUTS FOR THE ASSISTANT TO THE ASSISTANT TO THE REGIONAL MANAGER— As the office readies for the premiere of the documentary that night, Jim (John Krasinski) convinces Dwight (Rainn Wilson), who is planning to propose to Esther (Nora Kirkpatrick), that he needs an Assistant to the Assistant Regional Manager, and holds tryouts to find the best candidate. Angela (Angela Kinsey) brings her baby to work after her daycare turns her away. Meanwhile, Andy (Ed Helms) attends auditions for "The Next Great A Cappella Sensation."
