Palin's Alaska Falls, Former VP Candidate Says No To More Couric Interviews

After putting up an outstanding five million plus in total viewers debut, Sarah Palin’s Alaska returned to Earth in its second week, dropping about forty percent to three million. The TLC reality/ travel series has been seen by some as a way for the former Vice Presidential candidate to increase exposure in preparation for a possible 2012 run at the Oval Office, but others have contended it’s simply a travel show to help increase tourism to the remote region. Either way, it’s still popular, just not astoundingly popular.

In other Sarah Palin-related news, the Alaskan announced in an interview with Sean Hannity that she will not agree to another interview with CBS News Anchor Katie Couric. In a discussion that will air on FoxNews later tonight, Palin swears she will not “waste (her) time” with someone content on spinning the story. She also lambastes the state of journalism in this country, claiming she studied how to report in college and that our current system is a sad state of affairs.

I don’t want to get too political on this one, but it would seem to me quitting as governor midway through your term is also not how they teach you to do it in college.
