Sci Fi To Run A Battlestar Galactica Marathon In May

It’s been a couple weeks since the season finale of ‘Battlestar Galactica’ and fans of the show are probably going through ‘BSG’ withdrawal. January seems way too long to wait for new episodes. In the meantime, the Sci Fi channel isn’t leaving us high and dry until the new season starts. Ready to rewatch season three all over again? Well you’re in luck because in May, the Sci Fi channel will be running a ‘Battlestar Galactica’ Season 3 marathon.

According to Zap2it.com, the network announced that they will be airing all 20 episodes of the third season in a marathon which will start on Wednesday, May 16 from 8:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m. The episodes will pick up again on Thursday and Friday from 8 to 3 as well.

After a fantastic season finale in which four of the five “final Cylons” were revealed, it’s almost hard to remember how the season began. Last fall when Season 3 premiered, our favorite characters were either being held captive by the Cylons on New Caprica, organizing a resistance or off in space trying to figure out a way to rescue their people.

‘Battlestar Galactica’ will return with new episodes in January of 2008. There will also be two one hour “special” episodes set to air in late fall and be released on DVD afterwards.

If you’re looking for a way to fill the Sci Fi void in your life, check out ‘Painkiller Jane’ which airs this Friday at 10:00 pm on the Sci Fi channel.
