In Support Of New Album Fuse Will Host A Full Day Of The Red Hot Chili Peppers

After basically disappearing from the public eye after their tour for 2006’s Stadium Arcadium (well, other than the announcement that John Frusciante was leaving the group, again), The Red Hot Chili Peppers are back, and they are set to have a busy August. The band’s new album, I’m With You, will drop on August 30th, and will be followed the same day by an all-day Red Hot Chili Peppers marathon on Fuse.

If you pay any attention to Fuse, you might be aware they do these marathons frequently. I kind of wanted to pull a Chuck Klosterman and watch the Eminem one in its 24-hour entirety, but I got a few videos in and realized the law of diminishing returns applied. I digress, and besides, a whole day of the Red Hot Chili Peppers seems a lot more feasible.

The icing on the cake will be an interview with the band, set to air at 8:30, and a new concert performance, set to air at 9. Fuse Presents: Red Hot Chili Peppers Live From The Roxy will be taped during the band’s performance at the Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles on August 22nd. The private, fan-filled concert will feature the Chili Peppers playing tracks from their new album, as well as their greatest hits.

Even if you can’t stomach like 20 hours of straight-up video on repeat, the concert seems like it would be worth checking out, at least if you’re a fan. The Chili Peppers are beginning the tour for I’m With You in Asia and Europe, and they have yet to announce a solid U.S. tour. Without the Fuse concert, it would be a while before most of us can check the I’m With You tour out.
