Video Clips From ABC's Homeland Security

In early January, ABC is set to premiere a new series that follows Homeland Security as they go about their daily duties. Viewers will get an inside look at what the organization spends their time doing in an effort to keep us safe, so we can rest easy in our homes watching hours and hours of reality TV. We’ve got a couple of video clips from Homeland Security USA, which premieres Tuesday, January 5, 2009.

Does anyone else wonder if it’s such a good idea for Homeland Security to let camera crews follow them around? Doesn’t that sort of help the bad-guys out, if they can see what’s being done to stop them from committing acts of terror and what not?

Here’s some of the information that ABC released on the series:

“Comprised of 13 hour-long episodes shot entirely on location throughout the U.S., Homeland Security USA is based on a popular Australian series now in its fifth season. Produced by Oscar and Emmy-winner Arnold Shapiro (Scared Straight!, Rescue 911, Big Brother), the series takes cameras into situations never before seen on television, with each episode covering eight or more locations on the "front lines" where the officers and agents work each day. The Department's missions include everything from vetting adoption papers and checking visitors' passports to intercepting undocumented immigrants, drugs and other contraband, and stopping potential terrorists trying to cross our borders.”

Homeland Security USA premieres TUESDAY, JANUARY 6 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on ABC.
