If you're still dreaming of your chance to be judged by Simon Cowell, your moment has finally arrived. Fox has announced the audition schedule for the debut season of The X Factor, the new talent show that Cowell is hosting, looking for both solo artists and vocal groups over 12 years old. Switching up the old American Idol format even more, a contestant's first audition for the judges will happen in front of a crowd of thousands, "raising the stakes and increasing the pressure to impress not only the judges, but also a potential legion of fans." The winner of The X Factor will get a $5 million recording contract with Syco/Sony Music, plus the bragging rights of having survived Cowell for an entire season.

Check out the full audition schedule below-- it kicks off in Los Angeles on March 27 and wraps up in Dallas Texas sometime about a month later. We also have specific details about the Los Angeles audition, plus a video from Simon Cowell himself explains the concept behind the show and what he's looking for.
