Unable to make it to one of the open auditions for the upcoming singing competition X Factor? Fox has a remedy for that. This month, in select cities, aspiring singers (solo artists and groups) can submit an audition through use of a state-of-the-art studio. Details and a photo of the studio ahead!
“These studios were brought to my attention some months ago, and we think they are brilliant way to audition for those people who haven’t been able to make it to the cities,” said Simon Cowell. “MyStudio has kindly let us use these high-tech studios for THE X FACTOR auditions, which record studio-quality sound and video to make the audition tape, and I’m very excited for anyone who decides to use these to audition.”
Here’s a photo of the studio, which will allow groups and singers to record an audition video for X Factor.
Looks like a time machine.
Auditioners who use the MyStudios studio as their method of auditioning may be selected to move ahead to the call-back round. This sounds like a great way to expand the search for talent across the country. Online auditions would be another alternative but I think it’s safe to assume what MyStudios produces is going to be better quality (and more accurate) than what most people would be able to submit online if they tried to produce an audition video on their own.
Hawaiians in the vicinity of Honolulu will be the first to take a crack at this interesting new way to submit and audition video. Below is the list of dates and locations:
