Ben Foster Reveals His Character In Warcraft
One of 2016's most anticipated films is Warcraft, though there's still so little we know about it. The complex gaming saga is being distilled into a big screen fantasy world by director Duncan Jones, but Legendary Pictures has been reluctant to deal out any Warcraft secrets. Cast member Ben Foster, however, has opened up a bit and revealed some details previously unknown.

Duncan Jones' Warcraft Adds Clancy Brown And Daniel Wu To The Cast
The two actors join the previously announced Ben Foster (Kill Your Darlings), Travis Fimmel (Vikings), Robert Kazinsky (True Blood), Toby Kebbell (Wrath of the Titans) and Paula Patton (2 Guns). While there is unquestionably a high level of talent present within this group, it’s not exactly your typical tentpole cast.

Warcraft Adds Ben Foster, Toby Kebbell And More, Dominic Cooper In Talks
The group of actors join a cast that already includes Paula Patton, who got some action cred starring in Brad Bird's Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, and Travis Fimmel, who has become a rising star in Hollywood thanks to his role on series Vikings. Colin Farrell has also been in talks to possibly star in the movie, but the trade curiously doesn't mention his name.

Warcraft Delayed To 2016 And The Mummy Reboot Given A Release Date
In the ever-growing trend of setting distant theatrical release dates only to change them several times along the way, Universal has updated its upcoming schedule, and its biggest move best reflects how the studio feels about Star Wars: Episode VII nabbing the December 18, 2015. Duncan Jones’ upcoming big budget video game adaptation Warcraft has been pushed from that pre-Christmas date back to March 11, 2016.

Duncan Jones Chooses Warcraft Over James Bond Writer Ian Fleming
Following such imaginative and well-crated sci-fi films such as 2009’s Moon and 2011’s Source Code, director Duncan Jones certainly seemed destined for a big budget hullaballoo, and so it’s no surprise that Legendary and Universal’s upcoming video game adaptation Warcraft is taking precedence, and Jones is forced to end his =attachment to the biopic Fleming.

World Of Warcraft Will Be Like Avatar And Push The Limits Of PG-13
While ducking questions on casting, Jones shared some concept art, and explained the film will be made in the style of Avatar, with human actors interacting with motion-capture created creatures, but with an influence from Game of Thrones as well.

Warcraft May Add Vikings Star Travis Fimmel
While no deal is in place just yet, sources have told the trade that Fimmel is definitely the man that Jones and Legendary Pictures want for the part. Should the star sign on the dotted line he will reportedly play one of four lead roles. Unfortunately, because details about the film are being kept under wraps, exactly what those four roles are remains a mystery.

Duncan Jones' Warcraft Movie Gets A Release Date
Video game movies don't exactly have the greatest legacy out there, but if any one can help turn that ship around I bet it could be Jones. With both Moon and Source Code the young filmmaker has proven himself to be a real talent, and he is currently Warcraft's best asset.

Warcraft Movie Eyes Paula Patton And Colin Farrell For Lead Roles
Playing the lead role in a video game adaptation can be a seriously mixed bag-- just ask Timothy Olyphant, Mark Wahlberg, Til Schweiger and other stars of failed efforts-- but that doesn't mean there aren't plenty of actors willing to take the gamble. According to Deadline director Duncan Jones has started eyeing a cast for his adaptation of Warcraft, and he's set his sights on Paula Patton and Colin Farrell.

Is A World Of Warcraft Movie A Good Idea? A Gamer Speaks Out
Personally, I was surprised by this pick since Jones is better known for sci-fi than fantasy. Would this filmmaker who stood out with a mind-bending low-budget space drama be a good choice for a presumably special effects heavy fantasy epic? Sure, with 2011's Source Code Jones showed he could handle action sequences, but is he ready to deliver on the high expectations WoW lovers are sure to bring to this movie?

Sam Raimi Is Off World Of Warcraft Movie
Bad news WoW enthusiasts, Sam Raimi will not be directing the long in-development movie adaptation of sprawling online role playing game World of Warcraft. Of course, this may come as little surprise as the last update on the proposed movie came at Comic Con 2010, where Blizzard Entertainment, the game's publisher, offered weak hope saying the film was still in the "treatment stage."

World Of Warcraft Still At Work
There’s no debating that online role-playing games are addictive and have a huge audience. But will those factors build an audience for the upcoming World of Warcraft movie adaptation? To me, it depends upon how much Blizzard Entertainment, the company behind the games, is involved.

Sometimes a rumor hits the internet that’s beyond belief. For instance just about anything involving George Lucas is usually a lie. That’s probably the case with this rumor, but we’ll report it anyway. Steven Spielberg may be directing the upcoming World of Warcraft movie adaptation
