Namco Bandai and Banpresto Games released a new extended debut trailer for the third game in the Ar Tonelico series. Even though the trailer is in Japanese, a lot of the cinematics are still on display along with some new in-game footage that includes both exploration and combat gameplay.

The original Ar Tonelico wasn’t too bad a game for the PS2 and after the sequel the franchise was quickly cemented as a new series that role-playing gamers kept a close eye on. The third game, now being published by Namco Bandai, has the same anime cinematic sequences and sky-based, airy aesthetic for the in-game visuals.

Being made exclusively for the PS3, Ar Tonelico III will still feature the song-based gameplay elements that made the original popular as well as a few new additions to the whole interactive-dialogue/personality feature. You can check out the new trailer for the game below, which is due out in Japan in the first-quarter of 2010. That means North American gamers can expect to see this game on store shelves sometime in the later half of 2010.
