Battlefield 3 Screenshots Celebrate Launch

Tomorrow Battlefield 3 will hit stores throughout North America. EA has released a huge batch of screenshots and landscape images to tide you over until you run off to a midnight launch party.

In BF3's campaign, U.S. Marine sergeant Henry Blackburn is trying to stop a group known as the People's Liberation and Resistance from launching an attack on New York City. Players will take on the role of Blackburn and other military personnel fighting throughout the globe. The campaign will take places to diverse locations such as France, Iran and Iraq. A set of two-player co-op missions separate from the campaign will be included in BF3 as well.

BF3, like most games in the series, is getting more buzz for its competitive multiplayer. Up to 24 players (64 on the PC version) can battle it out on 9 massive maps filled with drivable air and land vehicles. The multiplayer sports five game modes and four player classes.

The European launch of BF3 will occur on October 28th.
